I was lucky enough to be in attendance for the final days play in the Ashes. As well as seeing Australia win the series 5-blot, it was also the last test matches for Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne and Justin Langer

Something I learnt from QI last night:

In Catalonia and the Basque Country, hiding in the background of the nativity scene is the caganer (Catalan "crapper"), a figure of a defecating man.

Nice to see someone has added some humour to the festive season! Don't forget to menja bé, caga fort i no tinguis por a la mort this Christmas...

Finding that Illusive Christmas Present

Yesterday I was sent of a mission to purchase a Far Side Calendar. Problem, I had seen them at the Post Office during the week, but the Post Office wasn't open on the weekend.

Solution? - Try the newsagents in town, no luck. Ended up finding one at Target, but its not perfect...

The lack of calendars at the newsagent was quite surprising - the calendars that were left looked pretty poorly too... Interestingly, Mark Fletcher is having good sales of calendars at his newsagency.
